RowdMap, Inc. Joins IBM Watson Health and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at NCQA Quality Talks: Inspiring the Future of American Health Care
Josh Rosenthal, Chief Scientific Officer at RowdMap, Inc., Discusses Broadening the Triple Aim to Include High-Value Care
Louisville, KY, October 16, 2017 – Josh Rosenthal, Chief Scientific Officer, RowdMap, Inc., will participate today in NCQA Quality Talks, a series of stirring, succinct talks by current and emerging health care leaders with ideas about how we can collaboratively improve American health care. Josh Rosenthal’s session “50 Shades of Variation” will explore variation in high-value care, its key drivers, impact, practices and measurement.
NCQA’s Quality Talks began in 2015 with the goal to look ahead through the eyes of tomorrow’s leaders, who are inspiring the future of American health care. Quality talks are meant to inspire action to tackle the real and pressing problems in our health care system, and to dismantle barriers to a better future.
“Traditional Triple Aim measures will not ensure success in risk-based models for the long-term. A provider may improve outcomes for a patient, but if a disproportionate amount of low-value care is generated, then there will be no savings,” said Josh Rosenthal, Chief Scientific Officer, RowdMap, Inc. “What does it mean to your risk profile if you have good outcomes on a surgery that isn’t needed in the first place? I look forward to discussing these topics with other thought leaders at the NCQA Quality Talks.”
